I am new to the group and am really struggling with my recent diagnosis of scarring alopecia. I have had biopsy which confirmed Linchenoide Keratosis and have researched this to find it is to do with the protein in the hair and skin. I have been given some steroid lotion and cream to use on my head, but this is causing me more problems as it burns and causes more itching! I have good days but seem to be having more bad days and feel quite down about it all. I have lost a considerably amount of my hair on one side of my head and have been wearing head bands to cover it up--I won't leave the house without covering my head now. I know my hair won't grow back, but i wondered if anyone else has been through this or is going through this now. How long before I lose all of my hair?? Is the treatment of steroids just prolonging the inevitable??  Do I just get it all shaved off!?!

Any advice/help would be grateful CryCryCry

Thank you
